Call for abstract ​​​​​​​​​​​​

The organizing committee invites potential attendees of the ISESSAH conference to submit your abstracts for oral or poster presentations. Abstracts may focus on methods and techniques, development of theory, empirical applications, education or policy or other relevant themes. Presentations on the following themes are particularly appreciated:

Analysis of multiple burdens (environmental, public health, One Health, animal welfare and other societal burdens) in combination with animal health problems. 

Which could include;

  • Interaction or weighing of the multiple burdens,

  • Risks of animal diseases in relation to multiple burdens,

  • Distribution of costs and benefits between multiple stakeholders.

Economic burden of animal health problems from animal to global level.  

Which could include;

  • Economic burden of animal diseases,

  • Costs and benefits of disease prevention and control, 

  • Analysing and understanding the market.

Understanding animal health (and One Health) decision-making from animal to global level. 

Which could include;

  • Human behaviour in relation to the effectiveness of disease prevention and control programs,

  • Economics models including recent insights in human behaviour.

Free communications on topics that are related to the domain of ISESSAH. 

Abstract guidelines

The submission should include a title of maximum 15 words, author information and an abstract. Author information should include the name(s) of author(s) and name and email address of the presenting author. The abstract should be in a concise format, and include the research question and motivation of research, material and methods, the data used, indication of the main result(s), conclusion(s) and maximum five key words. The abstract should be limited to maximum 300 words. Authors are requested to indicate whether they want an oral or poster presentation (the scientific committee reserves the right to determine whether an abstract submission is accepted as an oral presentation or poster) and whether their contribution is part of the European Partnership on Animal Health and Welfare (EUPAHW). A special session will be organized with contributions from this partnership.
